Caramelized Green Beans with Onion
1/4 cup butter
1 large yellow onion
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 T brown sugar
1 lb. green beans
Melt the butter in a large skillet. Add the onion slices and cook over medium heat 10 minutes
or until brown, do not stir. Sprinkle the onion with the salt, pepper and brown sugar. Reduce
the heat to low and continue to cook, stirring frequently, for 15 to 20 minutes or until the
green beans are browned and tender.
